With its strong focus on breaking news and popular culture. USA Today mobilized a large staff to cover the sudden death of pop superstar Michael Jackson. A selection of video features was one of the key pieces of our online coverage. On a short deadline, I collaborated with music critic Steve Jones to produce the lead video retrospective of the singer’s life and career and coordinated the efforts of other editors, video journalists and photojournalists to produce this video package on an extremely tight deadline.
