College sports, particularly UNC, Duke and NC State basketball, was the bread-and-butter of the Raleigh News and Observer. During my time in Raleigh, I worked with the sports staff to establish a strong digital presence for our coverage of local teams. One of the key pieces of this strategy was regular video podcast. As one of the first newspaper video journalists actively covering major sports teams. I shot, edited and produced post-game highlights and interviews, pre-game features and a weekly podcast.
